Paralympic World Champion, Amy Truesdale will be taking to the mats for the first time since the UK Sport/National Lottery funding investment, earlier this year.
She will be competing at the Para African Taekwondo Open alongside teammates Leif Thobroe, Matt Bush and Joseph Lane in Agadir, Morocco.
European Championships silver medallist, Thobroe, is especially looking forward to getting back in the ring: “My last two competitions have been great, in terms of giving me ring experience and mat time, which is what we really need as a team. The more tournaments we compete at, the better really.
Since the funding announcement, we’ve been training at the National Taekwondo Centre in Manchester a lot more and it’s been really beneficial. Hopefully, this will show in our performances, I can’t wait to try some moves from our sessions.”
